ChromaSorb 50 mL device
Description:
ChromaSorb 50 mL device
Trade Name:
ChromaSorb
Applications:
A medium sized anion membrane adsorber for pilot to medium volume processing for trace impurity removal in a flow through mode
Key Applications:
Pilot and medium volume
Feedstock pH Range:
Typically 0.5 to 1 pH unit below the pI of the target being purified
Typical Operating Flow Rate:
50 mL device: 650 mL/min (12.5 CV/min)
Operating Buffers:
Monovalent buffers only (e.g. Tris and acetate). ChromaSorb membrane adsorber is not recommended for use in processes that are in multivalent buffers such as phosphate and citrate as this can lead to reduced capacity.
BSA Capacity:
≥50 mg/mL on average at 0 mM NaCl
≥20 mg/mL on average at 280 mM NaCl
≥20 mg/mL on average at 280 mM NaCl
Impurity Removal:
Virus (MMV): >4 LRV
DNA: >3 LRV
Endotoxin: >3 LRV
DNA: >3 LRV
Endotoxin: >3 LRV
Nominal Membrane Volume:
50 mL device: ~50.3 mL
Permeability:
1.5 CV/min/psi
Materials of Construction:
Membrane: Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene
Ligand: Primary Amine
Molded parts: High Density Polyethylene
Ligand: Primary Amine
Molded parts: High Density Polyethylene
Long Description:
The ChromaSorb 50mL device has been designed for customers looking to remove trace amounts of negatively charged impurities such as virus, HCP and endotoxin from their drug feedstocks in a flow through mode. Each device has been 100% integrity tested to ensure there is no bypass of the membrane and comes with a certificate of quality and a users guide. The ChromaSorb 50mL device is ideally suited for pilot and medium volume processing.
